Work Cells
A work cell resource represents a group of physical equipment items that are applied sequentially to manufacture a product. Work cells most often represent one of multiple alternate paths that can be taken by a product on a production line. Although smaller equipment items may be contained by a work cell, they are not defined in the equipment model.
A work cell is a terminating resource; that is the last resource in a hierarchy. Work cells are included when a production line contains optional production paths.
