Units
A unit resource represents an alternate production path within a process cell.
In the equipment model, a unit is a terminating resource; that is; the last resource in a hierarchy. Unit resources are contained within a process cell only when some variability exists within the process cell regarding the path a product takes. For example, a unit adds value to a process cell by adding a dye or chemical to the overall process.
