Production Lines
A production line resource represents a group of physical equipment items that are applied sequentially to manufacture a product.
Production lines are applied to discrete production processes. Although smaller equipment items may comprise a production line, they are not defined in the equipment model.
A production line can be the last resource in a hierarchy; that is, a terminating resource. Although work cell resources can be nested within a production line, such nesting indicates that some alternate paths are available within the production line.
The following information describes the hierarchy of this resource:
Required: | no; optional |
Contained by: | Area; Production line |
Can Contain: | one or more Production lines; Work cells |
