Modify a Property Definition

About this task

You must not modify the default property definitions that appear in the application such as, Receive Line. If you modify any default property definition, the corresponding application integration will stop working.

Procedure

  1. Select Property Definition ().
    The Property Definition page appears, displaying a list of properties available in the Plant Applications Web Client.
  2. Under the Manage Groups tab, navigate to the row containing the group that includes the property definition you want to modify, then select Edit Property ().
  3. Edit the details of the property definition. The following details are available for editing:
    Box Description
    DATA TYPES Select to update the data type.
    DEFAULT VALUE Update the default value for the property based on the data type.
    REQUIRED VALUE Select this check box only if you want the property to be a required value or clear the check box if you do not want the property to have a required value.
    UOM Select to update the unit of measurement (UOM) for the property.
  4. Select Save.

Results

The property definition is updated.
