Add Default Value for the List Datatype

About this task

Use this procedure the set the default values for the property definition having 'List' as the data type.

Procedure

  1. Select Property Definition ().

    The Property Definition page appears, displaying a list of properties available in Plant Applications Web Client.

  2. Under the Manage Groups tab, navigate to the row containing the group with data type as "List", then select Edit Group ().
  3. In the DEFAULT VALUE field, select View.

    The Add/Edit List page appears.

  4. Select .

    A blank row appears. Use this row to add the property value details.

  5. Based on the requirement, build a list of values by adding rows.
  6. To add a default value, in the Value field, type the value, then select the DEFAULT VALUE toggle button to mark it as the default value.

    The default value is added to the property value.

    Note: You can add a default value for only one given value at a time.
  7. Select Close.
  8. Select Save to save the default value for the property.

    The set default value appears for applications (for example, Route Editor) that use the List datatype property.
