Add a Manual Historian Variable

About this task

Starting with 2022 SP1, Plant Applications supports Manual Historian Variable.

Procedure

  1. In Plant Applications Administrator, go to the Plant Model, then expand the Production Unit and Group.
  2. Right-click a Variable group, and then select Add New Variable. If a variable already exists, then right-click a group, then select Edit Variable.
  3. Type a name for the new variable. Variable names must be unique within a given Production Unit.
  4. Select the new Variable, then right-click and select Edit All Variables On Quality VariableGroup.
    The Variable Sheet window appears and displays all the existing variables for the unit.
  5. In the Data Source, select Historian Manual from the list.
  6. Enter a tag name in the Input Tag field.
    Note: For Historian, enter the tag name manually.
  7. To save the variable, in the Variable Sheet window, select Save.
