The BOM Editor page appears displaying the list of
BOMs.
Select the BOM for which you want to view the item details.
The Item Details section appears, displaying the available
items.
Navigate to the Substitutions column, and select
Add Substitutions for the item to which you want to
add a substitution material.
Note: If the substitutions column is not displayed or
hidden, then select Column Chooser
to add SUBSTITUTIONS column in the grid.
The Bom Formulation Details page appears.
In the Select product code drop-down list box, search for the product
code and add the required product as a substitution material.
Enter QUANTITY required for substitute material to replace
full material of the main material. Also, select the appropriate UOM from the
UOM drop-down list box.
Note: The CONVERSION FACTOR field is
updated automatically based on the quantity provided. If you choose to input
the conversion factor field, then the QUANTITY field
will be updated automatically.
Select Add.
Note: If you want to add more than one substitution,
select to
add the substitutions for the BOM items.
