Changing the Default Local License Server Port

If the default port number (3333) for the Proficy License Server needs to be changed, you can modify it in the server configuration file and then update the Local License Server Administration Tool with the new port. This ensures continued communication between the clients and the server.

Before you begin

Do not update the Local License Server (LLS) default port number if licenses are currently allocated to any License Client. First, return all licenses from your License Client(s) to the LLS before changing the port number. Once the licenses are returned, your Proficy software products may stop running. After the port number has been successfully updated, you must reallocate the licenses to the License Client(s) to restart your Proficy software products.
