General Electric

A systems approach to driving down LCOS

Innovations in system design and operations will be crucial for further reducing LCOS as battery costs decrease and cell energy densities plateau.

Our CAPEX reduction strategy relies on improving site energy density (integrating the most energy dense and cost-effective battery packs), optimizing equipment usage, and simplifying BOP design.
From an OPEX perspective we focus on reducing the cost of auxiliary power (up to 1/3rd of the OPEX cost of the project), developing augmentation options that leverage the latest battery technology, and lowering the cost of capital.

Coupled with usage-based performance guarantees, our customers can take advantage of emerging market opportunities, knowing that GE Vernova will be there to support and maintain the assets.

RESTORE – Storage for the Renewable Energy Future

Everything we do at GE Vernova is guided by the SQDC framework – safety first, quality, delivery and then cost

Our latest 5MWh, liquid cooled RESTORE DC Block is no exception. All aspects of safety from fire to environmental and employee safety, to protection from cyber-attacks, form the foundation our design process.

RESTORE DC Block also features many digital innovations – intelligent thermal management, high speed edge analytics for accurate estimation of states of -charge, -health and -safety and zero-touch commissioning.
