- Although the Assets microapp allows you to create an instance with any UTF-8 special character in the Instance Name and Sourcekey, all other GE Digital APM modules support only the following special characters in the Instance Names and Sourcekeys:
- Alphanumeric characters
- &(ampersand)
- .(dot)
- —(em dash)
- –(en dash)
- #(number sign)
- “(quotation marks)
- _(underscore)
- Tag Names associated with the Tag instances support only the following special characters even though the Tag instances in the Assets microapp support all the UTF-8 special characters:
- α(alpha)
- \(backslash)
- β(beta)
- :(colon)
- ,(comma)
- $(dollar sign)
- -(hyphen)
- µ(micro sign)
- #(number sign)
- Ω(omega)
- £(pound sign)
- ¥(yen sign)
