Access Rounds Pro Mobile App

Procedure

  1. On a mobile device, select the Rounds Pro app icon to start the application.
    The Rounds Pro page appears.
  2. In the Server box, enter the URL of the on-premises APM server provided by your system administrator.
    Note: You must enter the full server URL in the following format: http://<server>/meridium.

    Example: http://my.server.name/meridium

    The Datasources box is populated with a list of available data sources.
  3. In the Datasources box, select the data source provided by your system administrator.
  4. Select Next.
    The app supports multiple ways to log in, based on SSO or a APM user account. Depending upon how your system is configured, the SSO Login page or the Login page appears.
  5. If the SSO Login page appears, enter your SSO credentials in the Username and Password boxes, and then select Sign-in. If the Login page appears, enter the credentials of your APM user account in the Username and Password boxes, and then select Sign-in.
    The CREATE OFFLINE ACCESS PIN page appears.
  6. Enter a 6-digit PIN, and then select Next.
    The CONFIRM OFFLINE ACCESS PIN page appears.
  7. Re-enter the 6-digit PIN, and then select Save.
    You are signed in, and the My Routes page appears.

Create an Offline Sign-In PIN on Rounds Pro mobile app

As a Rounds Pro app user, you can create a sign-in PIN to access the Rounds Pro app, when the device is in offline mode.

Before You Begin

To create an offline PIN, you must be accessing the Rounds Pro application for the first time, or you must have selected Remove Offline PIN from Device under User Settings in the Rounds Pro app.

Procedure

  1. On a mobile device, select the Rounds Pro app icon to start the application.
    The Rounds Pro Login page appears.
  2. In the User name and Password boxes, enter your sign-in information, and then select Sign in.
    The CREATE OFFLINE ACCESS PIN page appears.
  3. Enter a 6-digit PIN, and then select Next.
    The CONFIRM OFFLINE ACCESS PIN page appears.
  4. Re-enter the 6-digit PIN, and then select Save.
    Tip: Select Create New to create a new PIN.
    You are signed in to the Rounds Pro app, and the My Routes page appears.

Results

Your new offline sign-in PIN is created to access the Rounds Pro application in offline mode.

Access Rounds Pro mobile app in Offline mode

Before You Begin

  • Sign in at least once while online.
  • You must have an offline sign-in PIN, which is separate from your APM password.

Procedure

  1. On a mobile device, select the Rounds Pro mobile app icon to start the application.
    The Rounds Pro page appears, displaying the USER NAME/SSO ID box. The screen also displays the GE logo and the Asset Performance Management from GE Digital text.
    Note:
    • The USER NAME/SSO ID field is a required field.
    • After you select the Rounds Pro mobile app icon, a splash screen appears for a second before the Rounds Pro page appears.
  2. In the USER NAME/SSO ID box, enter your user name or SSO ID, and then select Sign in.
    A page appears, displaying ENTER OFFLINE ACCESS PIN.
  3. Enter your 6-digit offline sign-in PIN.
    You are signed in.

Results

You are signed in and the Rounds Pro dashboard page appears.

About Scanning a Step

You can scan the code associated with a step to:
  • Access the step
  • Unlock the step

This feature allows you to streamline tasks by allowing you access the steps easily by scanning codes like barcodes, QR codes, NFC tags, etc.

The following conditions apply when you scan a code:
  • The scan codes that you are using must be supported by the Rounds Pro mobile app. The codes must be compliant with the recommended dimensions and specifications.
  • If you want to scan an NFC tag, your device must support reading NFC tags.
  • If you scan an invalid code or if there are no matching steps in any of the checked-out route instances, a message appears, stating that there are no matching steps.
  • If there is a single match for the code you have scanned, the Step Details page appears, and the step is unlocked. However, if there are multiple matches for the code, you can choose the step that you want to unlock, or you can unlock all the steps.

Scan a Code to Access or Unlock Step

Before You Begin

  • You must have assigned a Scan ID to step.
  • You must have checked out the Route instance associated with the step.
  • If you want to scan an NFC tag, your device must support reading NFC tags.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Rounds Pro mobile app.
  2. Select . If you want to scan an NFC tag, tap the device onto the NFC tag that you want to scan.
    The code scanner window appears.
    Note:
    • If you are using the scan feature for the first time, a message appears, asking you to allow access to the camera.
    • If you are scanning an NFC tag for the first time, a message appears, asking you to provide permissions to use NFC tags.
  3. Scan the code assigned to the step.
    If there is a single match for the code you have scanned, the Step Details page appears, and the step is unlocked. However, if there are multiple matches for the code, you can choose the step that you want to unlock, or you can unlock all the steps.
    Note: If you scan an invalid code or if there are no matching steps in any of the checked-out route instances, a message appears, stating that there are no matching steps.

Reset Offline Sign-In PIN

Before You Begin

  • You must have configured your offline sign-in PIN when you accessed the Rounds Pro mobile app for the first time.
  • You must be online to reset your offline sign-in PIN.

Procedure

  1. Access user settings on Rounds Pro mobile app.
    The user settings page appears, displaying the user profile and the available user preferences.
  2. Select Remove PIN from device.
    The Alert window appears, displaying Offline Pin has been removed.
  3. Select OK.
    The offline sign-in PIN is removed.
  4. Log out of the application and then complete the steps for accessing the Rounds Pro mobile app while online.
  5. Sign in to the application.
    A page appears prompting you to create a new offline sign-in PIN.

Results

The offline sign-in PIN is reset for the Rounds Pro mobile app.

Sign Out

About This Task

Once you sign in to the Rounds Pro mobile app, your login information will be stored until the app in uninstalled or you sign out. This topic describes how to sign out of the app.

Procedure

  1. Open the Rounds Pro mobile app.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select your profile in the drop-down list box, and then select Logout.
    You are signed out of the Rounds Pro mobile app.

Access User Settings on Rounds Pro mobile app

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Rounds Pro mobile app.
    The Rounds Pro page appears displaying the My Routes and Route Masters tabs.
  2. Access the My Routes or Route Masters page and select the user name, and then select Settings from the drop-down list.
    The Settings page appears displaying the User Settings and Connection Settings tabs. By default, the User Settings tab is selected, and the User Settings page appears displaying the user name and profile page, and the available user preferences options.

Results

The User Settings page appears displaying the user profile and user preferences.
Note:
  • You can access the Settings page from any screen of the Rounds Pro mobile app.
  • As needed, modify the preferences for the available options, and then select Save.
  • Select Cancel to return to the Rounds Pro page.

Configure User Preferences on Rounds Pro mobile app

Procedure

  1. Access User Settings on the Rounds Pro mobile app.
  2. To set a user profile image, select SELECT IMAGE and then select an image from the media library or click a photo using the device camera.
  3. As needed, configure the preferences for the available options.
  4. Select Save.
    The preferences are saved to the database.
