Enable Y-Axis Ranges for SmartSignal Charts
You can enable y-axis ranges and view y-axis min and max values on SmartSignal charts in a view. You can also set the limits on the analytics tags based on the modes. These limits are used when a mode tag is visualized in analysis.
Before You Begin
- You must set and ingest a chart limit for the relevant tags to view a chart using chart limits.
- You must set the options on your Analysis View to view Chart Limits or Autoscaling for your SmartSignal charts. The default option is to auto scale the charts, however, you can override this setting using the user preferences.
About This Task
- Chart Limit
- The visual range of values that are plotted by default when the tag is plotted on a chart. If the data is beyond the range, you need to use the pan options on the chart to view the data which is outside the range on the chart. If the threshold falls inside the chart limit, the threshold line is visible on the chart. If the threshold falls outside of the chart limit, the threshold line will not be visible on the chart.
- Auto Scaling
- The default setting for viewing SmartSignal charts. This setting allows you to view the chart using the data present on the selected date and time range.
Procedure
Enable Point Mode for SmartSignal Cards
You can enable point mode for SmartSignal cards, allowing the x-axis to display the number of data points selected instead of a date-time range.
About This Task
- When a .csv is exported, the data is generated for the data points plotted.
- You can save the view as a template.
Procedure
Enable Zoom Across all Charts in Point Mode for SmartSignal Cards
You can now zoom across all the charts in points mode on a SmartSignal Card.
Procedure
Enable SmartSignal Marker Visibility
You can enable or disable the visibility of SmartSignal markers on SmartSignal charts.
About This Task
You can enable or disable marker type (rule) visibility within SmartSignal charts. You cannot change the marker type or configuration settings in this window.
Procedure
Display SmartSignal Marker Settings
You can display the configuration settings for SmartSignal marker visibility.
About This Task
SmartSignal marker visibility is configured in My Preferences. See Enable SmartSignal Marker Visibility. You can display a read-only version of the configuration for SmartSignal markers and time series data from an Analysis View.
Procedure
Enable Skip Lazy Loading for SmartSignal Charts
About This Task
You can enable or disable the option to skip lazy loading for SmartSignal charts.
Procedure
Enable Filtering for SmartSignal Charts by Threshold
You can filter the tag data on a SmartSignal chart by threshold.
About This Task
Filtering the data by threshold allows you to view the data in the mode that the tag belongs to. This is helpful for trending data.
Once you enable filtering by threshold, you can save the setting to an analysis template.
Procedure
- In the module navigation menu, select Tenant Preferences.
- Select the SmartSignal Marker Configuration tab.
- Switch the Filter Chart Data by Mode Thresholds toggle to enable this option.
Delete all Charts on a SmartSignal Card
You can delete all charts on a SmartSignal card and plot new tags on the card.
About This Task
Deleting all the tags on a card allows you to reset your analysis quickly and start over again with a new set of tags. In case the current set of tags do not allow you to progress on the analysis of an issue, this feature allows you to delete the current tags and plot new tags on the card to allow you to progress on the analysis of the issue.

Create an Event Frame Analysis Template
This topic describes how to create an Event Frame Analysis template in the Analysis module. The Event Frame Analysis template can be used to visualize the analytics tag information related to event frames detected by the SmartSignal analytics that are deployed on an asset. This allows the visualization of the event frame data for the tags on an asset.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the Analysis module.
- SmartSignal Analytics must be deployed on the asset.
Procedure
Switch from Default Analysis View to Event Frame Analysis
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the Analysis module.
- SmartSignal Analytics must be deployed on the asset.

Compare Assets for Smart Signal Analytic Tags
This topic describes how to compare smart signal analytic tags across multiple assets to understand if an issue impacts a single asset or multiple related assets. This feature is not available on GovCloud.
Before You Begin
- You must have access to the Analysis module.
- SmartSignal Analytics must be deployed on the asset.
- The same SmartSignal Analytics template must be deployed across all the assets.

Delete an Asset Added using Compare Asset Functionality
You can add multiple assets to an analysis view for assets that have SmartSignal analytics deployed. You can also remove assets from the compare mode to allow you to focus on a smaller set of assets or to add new assets for comparison.
