Lubrication Method Records

Lubrication Method records along with Lubricant records serve as a means for organizing all the lubricants that are used by your company.This topic provides an alphabetical list and description of the fields that exist for the Lubrication Method family and appear on the Lubrication Method datasheet. The information in the table reflects the baseline state and behavior of these fields.

This family is enabled for site filtering, which means that records in this family can be assigned to a specific site, and will then only be accessible to users who are assigned to the same site and have the appropriate license and family privileges. See the Site Filtering section of the documentation for more information on using this feature.

Field	Data Type	Description	Behavior and Usage
Description	Character	The description of the lubrication method.	This field is optional.
Method ID	Character	A unique value that identifies the lubrication method.	This field is required and must be unique.
Sub Type	Character	The sub type of the lubrication method type.	The values in this field populate the Method Sub Type lists on Lubrication Requirement and Lubrication Requirement Template datasheets, which are filtered based on the Method Type that you select on those datasheets. This field is optional, and must be unique in respect to other Lubrication Method records with the same Type.
Type	Character	The method by which the lubricant must be applied.	Organizes records in the Lubrication Method family into distinct groups. The values in this field populate the Method Type list on Lubrication Requirement and Lubrication Requirement Template datasheets. This field is required.
