Specify Search Queries

About This Task

On the SIS Management Overview page, when you select the tabs in the workspace, the following queries are executed:

  • SIl_Analysis_Search: Returns a list of SIL Analyses. This query is executed when you select SIL Analysis on the SIS Management Overview page.
  • All SIL Analyses Tasks: Returns a list of Proof Test Tasks that are linked to Instrumented Functions or Logic Solvers or created in Asset Strategy Management. This query is executed when you select Proof Test Tasks on the SIS Management Overview page.
  • Safety_Loop_Template_Search: Returns a list of Protective Instrument Loop Templates. This query is executed when you select PIL Templates on the SIS Management Overview page.
  • Final_Element_Reference_Data_Search: Returns a list of Final Element Custom Devices. This query is executed when you select Final Elements from the drop-down list box in the upper-right corner of the Custom Failure Data section.
  • Logic_Solver_Reference_Data_Search: Returns a list of Logic Solver Custom Devices. This query is executed when you select Logic Solvers from the drop-down list box in the upper-right corner of the Custom Failure Data section.
  • Sensor_Reference_Data_Search: Returns a list of Sensor Custom Devices. This query is executed when you select Sensors from the drop-down list box in the upper-right corner of the Custom Failure Data section.
  • SIS_Trip_Report_Search: Returns a list of SIS Trip Reports. This query is executed when you select SIS Trip Reports on the SIS Management Overview page.
  • SRS_Project_ALL: Returns a list of SRS Projects. This query is executed when you select SRS on the SIS Management Overview page.

This topic describes how to specify search queries for SIS Management, replacing the default ones. You can specify different search queries if you want to modify the columns or rearrange the columns that appear when you select the tabs in SIS Management.

Note: You can access application settings for SIS Management only if you are a Super User or belong to the MI SIS Administrator Security Group.

Procedure

  1. In the Applications menu, navigate to ADMIN > Application Settings > SIS Management.
    The SIS Admin Preferences page appears, displaying the Query Paths workspace. The default search queries in SIS Management are listed in the workspace.
  2. Select the Select button next to the query that you want to replace.

    The baseline catalog folder appears.

  3. Navigate to the folder that contains the query that you want to specify.
  4. Select the query that you want to specify, and then select Open.
  5. Repeat steps 3 - 5 for all the other queries that you want to replace.
  6. In the upper-right corner of the page, select Save.

    The default queries are replaced by the ones that you have selected.

Results

  • On the SIS Management Overview page, when you select the tabs in the workspace, the queries that you have specified are executed.

Specify the Required SRS Categories for an SRS Project

About This Task

This topic describes how to specify the required categories that appear when an SRS Project is created. You can access application settings for SIS Management only if you are a Super User or belong to the MI SIS Administrator Security Group.

Procedure

  1. In the Applications menu, navigate to ADMIN > Application Settings > SIS Management.
    The SIS Admin Preferences page appears, displaying the Query Paths workspace.
  2. In the left pane, select SRS Project Settings.

    The SRS Project Settings workspace appears.

  3. Next to the categories that you want to specify as required, select the check box, and then select Save.

    The selected categories are saved as the default categories for an SRS Project. When you create SRS Projects, the SRS Projects will contain all the default categories.

Upgrade Protective Instrument Loops in Bulk

About This Task

This topic describes how to upgrade Protective Instrument Loops in bulk to use the exSILentia V4 calculation engine.
Important: After you upgrade:
  • You cannot revert the Protective Instrument Loops to exSILentia V3.
  • The calculated values in the Protective Instrument Loops can change because of changes in the calculation engine, changes in failure data in the SERH database, and architectural changes.

Procedure

  1. In the Applications menu, navigate to ADMIN > Application Settings > SIS Management.
    The SIS Admin Preferences page appears, displaying the Query Paths workspace.
  2. In the left pane, select Upgrade Loop.
    The Upgrade Loop workspace appears, displaying a list of exSILentia V3 Protective Instrument Loops.
  3. In the upper-right corner of the page, select Upgrade All to V4.
    A message appears, asking you to confirm that you want to upgrade the Protective Instrument Loops.
  4. Select Yes.
    All the exSILentia V3 Protective Instrument Loops are upgraded to exSILentia V4.

Results

After the Protective Instrument Loops are upgraded:
  • The value in the IO channels in the separate module list in each Protective Instrument Loop is set to False.
  • In the Sensor Groups, Logic Solvers, and Final Element Groups of the Protective Instrument Loops, the value in the Has Independent Mission Time field is set to False. In addition, the Group Mission Time field is populated with the value in the Mission Time field of the corresponding Protective Instrument Loop.
  • The Proof Test Duration field is set to 1 hour.
