V4.3.0.5.0 Release Notes

A new module, Action Management, has replaced the existing Recommendation Management module. The Action Management module incorporates both Approved Actions and Recommended Actions into one interface while maintaining the functional equivalence of the Recommendation Management module. The following changes have been implemented:

• The Recommendation Management module has been renamed to Action Management.

• The Action Management module is now located in the Strategy menu of the module navigation menu.

• Performance Recommendations have been renamed Recommended Actions.

• Strategic Recommendations have been renamed Approved Actions.

• The Recommendations pane has been renamed the Recommended Actions pane. In the Recommended Actions pane, you can:

  • Access Recommended Actions.

  • Add Recommended Actions.

  • Search Recommended Actions.

  • Filter Recommended Actions.

  • View associated Recommendation records.

  • View, add, and update Recommended Actions in the bulk data form.

  • Navigate to the Recommended Actions section of the Action Management page.

  • In the Approved Actions section, using either a single Action record or in bulk, you can:

    • Access Approved Actions.

• Using the Calibration Data Loader, you can now create the following records:

  In addition, the data loader workbook now contains the (Picklist) worksheet, which provides a list of valid values that you can enter in columns in the rest of the worksheets.

• To enhance usability, in a Calibration Results, Analog record, you can now enter the exact value of the error limits in engineering units. To facilitate this enhancement, the following changes have been implemented:

  • Max Error Limit is automatically calculated based on the Engineering Units Error Limit.

  • When you access calibration results, As Found and As Left values now appear in engineering units only if the value in the Error Assessment field in the Calibration record is Engineering Units.

  • New fields, Error Assessment, Eng. Unit AF Error, and Eng. Unit AL Error have been added to the Calibration Results, Analog family.

  • A new field, Engineering Units Error Limit, has been added to the Calibration Template, Analog family.

Previously, when you attempted to create a Calibration Template, Discrete record, an error occurred. This issue occurred only if:

• The value in the Error Assessment field was Engineering Units.

• The value in the Engineering Units Error Limit field was more than 10 percent of the input range.

Even if you modified the input range values or the error limit such that the error limit was less than 10 percent of the input range, the issue occurred. This issue has been resolved.

In the Calibration Data Loader excel workbook, the following columns have been removed.

• Is Master Template
• Calibration Task ID

This is because after you import data, the corresponding fields are automatically populated.

For an Inspection Event, you can now link an RBI Component to an Inspection Confidence Evaluation record. To facilitate this enhancement, the following fields have been added to the Inspection Confidence Evaluation family:

You can now modify Inspection Confidence Evaluation records even after the final inspection lock has been set on the related Inspection record. A user with the Risk Analyst resource role can now lock the Inspection Confidence Evaluation records by changing the status to Reviewed in the Inspection Confidence Evaluation section.

To facilitate this change, the following changes have been made:

• A new resource role, Risk Analyst has been created.
• A new setting has been added in the Application Configurations section of the Inspection Configuration workspace to enable or disable the lock option.
• A new field, Inspection Confidence Evaluation Reviewed, has been added to the Inspection family.

Previously, if you logged in to using any of the following culture settings and accessed the MoC Admin page, the workspace did not appear:

• French
• German
• Portuguese
• Russian
• Spanish

This issue has been resolved.

To enhance usability, the following columns have been added to the Risk Matrix page:

• Site Reference: Indicates the site to which a Risk Matrix is assigned. If the Risk Matrix is assigned to multiple sites, all sites appear in the row as comma-separated values.

• Default: Indicates, via check box selection, if the Risk Matrix is the default Risk Matrix for your organization. This check box is populated based on the status of the Default check box in the corresponding Risk Matrix Layout datasheet.

Performance when executing a policy that contains multiple instances of the following nodes that reference the same catalog item has been significantly improved:

• Query

• R Script

To facilitate this enhancement, the catalog items that are used multiple times in the policy are loaded only once.

To facilitate this enhancement, the data that is used multiple times in the policy is loaded only once.

• When you create a Production Event via the Production Data workspace, the Source Production Unit box in the Production Event datasheet is now automatically populated with the Production Unit for which the Production Plan is created.

  Note: You can, however, modify the value in the Source Production Unit box.

To improve usability, when you create a Production Loss, the Loss Amount box in the Create New Loss window is now automatically populated with the Unaccounted Loss value of the Production Data record.

• You can now choose to automatically populate the Maximum Sustained Hourly Rate (MSHR) field in a Production Profile. To facilitate this enhancement, the MSHR Calculation Settings section, which contains the MSHR Auto Calculate check box, has been added to the Settings window.

  The Maximum Sustained Hourly Rate (MSHR) field will be automatically populated only if you select the MSHR Auto Calculate check box.

  Note: You can, however, modify the value in the Maximum Sustained Hourly Rate (MSHR) field.

Queries containing the following types of criteria can now be modified via the Design workspace:

• Compound join criteria
• Cartesian join criteria

The RBI Bulk Evergreening feature is now available.

RBI Bulk Evergreening is the process of duplicating active analyses in bulk based on the associated process units or functional location. The evergreened analyses use the latest risk completed data available to create up-to-date analyses for the process unit or functional location. You can uniquely identify and group the duplicated analyses using an Evergreening Batch ID. Once analyses are duplicated, you can:

• View duplicated analyses
• Bulk calculate analyses
• Bulk delete analyses
• Finalize risk
• View active analyses

When you change the state of multiple analyses at once via the RBI Overview page, you can change the state only from Created to Risk Completed. The Finalize Analysis Risk window displays only the analyses that are calculated and are in Created state. To facilitate this change, the following RBI queries have been modified:

• Review Analyses by Asset 580
• Review Analyses by Asset 581
• Review Analysis by Corrosion Loop 580
• Review Analysis by Corrosion Loop 581

The No Recommendations section of the Risk Based Inspection Overview page has been modified to include assets which have both:

• No recommendations.
• At least one component with a Risk Completed analysis.

• Asset Risk Report renamed to RBI 580 Asset Risk Report
• Asset Summary Report renamed to RBI 580 Asset Summary Report

You can now override the minimum thickness of a component regardless of the degradation mechanism. To facilitate this change, all the fields related to minimum thickness have been moved from the RBI Degradation Mechanisms family to the RBI Criticality Analysis family.

When you upgrade GE Digital APM to the current version, if the Override Minimum Required Thickness check box is selected, all the existing data related to minimum thickness is copied from the RBI Degradation Mechanism records to the RBI Criticality Analysis records.

RBI Analysis results for a Heat Exchanger - Bundle component have been enhanced to display the product leak consequence category for every calculated analysis. To facilitate this enhancement, the following fields have been made mandatory:

• Inspection Interval
• Flammable Leak Type (if the leaking fluid is flammable)
• Toxic Leak Type (if the leaking fluid is toxic)
• Product Unit Value
• Tube Operating Press Channel

The following fields have been removed from the RBI Degradation Mechanisms family:

• Override Minimum Required Thickness

• Minimum Required Thickness

• Structural Minimum Thickness

• Minimum Thickness – Pressure

The Evaluation of All Risk Targets feature is now available.

When you enable the Evaluation of All Risk Targets feature and calculate an RBI 581 analysis, the Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) Risk, the Financial Risk, and the Damage Factor targets are evaluated to determine a new value in the Target Inspection Date field. The Target Inspection Date field is then used to determine the value in the Driving Risk Target field, and the value for the Driving Risk Target field is set to the risk target that has the most conservative Target Inspection Date value.

Previously, during LDAP synchronization, user records were not synchronized if either of the following conditions existed:

• In Active Directory, the LastName field for the user was blank.
• In Active Directory, the value in the LastName field or FirstName field was a single character matching a character in the Password field. In this scenario, the following error message appeared: password must not contain firstname, lastname, or userId.

This issue has been resolved. Now, user records with these conditions are synchronized as expected. In Active Directory, if the LastName field for a user is blank, it will be populated with LastName in the GE Digital APM Security User record during synchronization.
