An OPC Tag record is used in GE Digital APM if it has a relationship to an item in the GE Digital APM database other than OPC Reading records. For example, an OPC Tag record is used in GE Digital APM if it is a health indicator source, an input to a policy (i.e., specified in a policy instance), or related to an asset record.

Specialized databases used for recording real-time process data, such as temperature or pressure.
