By default, existing Measurement Location and Measurement Location Template records do not update automatically to reflect modified allowable values. If you want allowable values to update across Measurement Location and Measurement Location Template records automatically, an administrative user must enable Before Update and After Update family policies in the Operator Rounds Allowable Values family. These family policies are delivered in the baseline GE Digital APM database, but they are inactive until an administrative user activates them.
Notes:
Steps
Access the Family Management page for the Operator Rounds Allowable Values family.
The Operator Rounds Allowable Values family workspace apears.
Select the Rules and Policies tab.
The Rules and Policies workspace appears.
Select the Family Policies option, and then select
A list of Family Policies appears.
The Before Update and After Update family policies appear with the Edit link beside them, which indicates that they are enabled.
IMPORTANT: These policies are already configured. To ensure proper synchronization of Measurement Location and Measurement Location Template records with allowable values, these policies should not be modified.
Results
When you modify allowable values, all Measurement Location and Measurement Location Template records that use those values are automatically updated to match the modified allowable values.
