Shreveport transformer facility completes $34 million capacity expansion to support growth in energy demand. Improvements to the company’s 500,000 square foot manufacturing facility began in early 2023 and culminated with the installation and start-up of a third production line.
As an important component of GE Vernova’s strategy to invest in U.S. manufacturing and job creation, it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Woodward, Inc.’s heavy duty gas turbine combustion parts business based in Greenville, S.C.
GE Vernova announced a $22 million investment in its historic Schenectady facility to manufacture new advanced generators, helping meet existing and increased global demand from its customers. The investment focuses the manufacturing of GE Vernova’s most efficient HA gas turbines.
As one of the largest windfarm projects, the SunZia project is set to deliver a total of 3,500 MW, providing enough power for some 3 million people. To support this project GE Vernova will manufacture some of the turbine towers in New Mexico.
Supported by an earlier $50 million investment to expand its Schenectady, NY assembly facilities, GE Vernova completed its first onshore wind turbine.
