Before you can enter reading values for checkpoints on a Windows Mobile Device, you must download Routes to the Windows Mobile Device. When you do so, you are downloading the Measurement Location records that correspond to the checkpoints along that Route.
Note: Before you can successfully work with a Route, all the Measurement Location nodes must have a valid sequence value. You should make sure that your Route is sequenced properly before downloading the data to the Windows Mobile Device.
Specifically, you are downloading the Measurement Location records that are linked directly to the Route record representing that Route. In addition, the GE Digital APM system will also download any conditions that a have been defined for the checkpoints on a Route. Keep in mind, however, that the total number of Measurement Location records that appearson the Home screen are the Measurement Location records that are linked directly to the Route record. The additional checkpoints will be accounted for on the Windows Mobile Device only after a given condition is met and a reading is recorded for the subsequent checkpoint.
Note: If you sync data on Windows Mobile Device on which Operator Rounds data already exists, data for Routes that have a status of Finished will be removed from the Windows Mobile Device and uploaded to GE Digital APM automatically as part of the sync operation. Data for Routes that have a status of In Progress will remain on the Windows Mobile Device.
Steps
On the Windows Mobile Device, access Operator Rounds.
Select Sync Data.
The Sync Data screen appears.
Note: If you previously downloaded Routes to the Windows Mobile Device, lists that correspond with any non-date prompts will retain your previous selection.
In the Route list, select the Route(s) that you want to download.
As you select the Route, text will be displayed in the Route drop-down that corresponds with the number of Route records that are selected. For example, the following image shows what the Route drop-down list box looks like when two Routes are selected in the list.
When you have made your selections, select in the Route list.
The Route list collapses.
In the Readings Due By box, select the date that you want to use to filter the Measurement Location records that will be downloaded to the Windows Mobile Device. The current date is selected by default. You can use the and buttons to navigate to the previous or next month, respectively.
After you select a date, the Calendar closes automatically, and the date appears in the Readings Due By box.
Note the following information:
Select Sync.
The Synchronizer screen appears, indicating the progress of the download process.
After the Routes are downloaded to the Windows Mobile Device, the screen refreshes and displays a message indicating that the Sync is complete.
Note: A Route record must be linked to at least one Measurement Location record to be downloaded to the Windows Mobile Device. Otherwise, that Route will not be downloaded, even if you select it in the Route box.
Select Close.
The fields that correspond to the Download query prompts appear again. At this point you can access the Home screen to begin working with the checkpoints in the Routes.
