Create Custom Degradation Mechanisms (DMs)

Before You Begin

• Create a new Degradation Mechanism Evaluation family.

Steps

1. Access the System Codes and Tables page.

2. In the left pane, navigate to and select MI DEGRADATION MECHANISMS TYPES(Degradation Mechanism Types).

   The workspace for the MI DEGRADATION MECHANISMS TYPES(Degradation Mechanism Types) System Code Table appears.

   

3. In the workspace, in the System Code section, select .

   The Create System Code window appears.

   

4. On the Create System Code window:

   • In the ID box, enter a custom Degradation Mechanism ID.

     Note: Entering this value is required. The ID must be unique and must not exceed 50 characters.

   • In the Description box, enter a custom description for the Degradation Mechanism.

     Note: The description must be limited to 255 characters. The description that you provide appears as table name in the System Tables section.

5. Select Save.

   The new custom Degradation Mechanism is saved.

• Create a Custom Potential Degradation Mechanism (PDM).
