Link an Asset to a Cause or a Safeguard

You can link only one asset (one Equipment and one Functional Location) to a Cause or a Safeguard. If an asset is already linked to the Cause or the Safeguard and you link another asset, only the latter one is linked to the Cause or the Safeguard.

Hint: You can link an asset to a Cause or a Safeguard only if the corresponding Hazards Analysis is in the Planning state.

Steps

  1. Access the Cause or the Safeguard that you want to link to an Asset.

The datasheet for the selected Cause or Safeguard appears. The following image shows the datasheet for a Cause.
