Accessing a Secured OLE DB Data Provider with User ID and Password

To access a secured OLE DB data provider using a user ID and password:

1. Open the VisiconX Data Control OLE Properties dialog box. For information on how to do this in your product, refer to the Accessing VisiconX OLE Control Properties section.
2. Click the Database tab.
3. Enter the User ID and password required for access to the secured OLE DB data provider in the Database Security Settings area.
4. If you want users to login to the secured OLE DB data provider in the run-time environment, select the Prompt For Username And Password In Run Mode check box.
