To select the schedules you want to run in the background:
- In Classic view, from the iFIX WorkSpace menu, select User Preferences.

In Ribbon view, on the Home tab, in the WorkSpace group, click Settings, and then click User Preferences.
- Click the Background Startup tab.
- Click the Add button and enter a file name (EVS files) for the schedule you want to run when iFIX starts. Optionally, click the Browse button to locate the file.
- Repeat step 3 until you have added all the files you want to run in the background.
- Select a file and click the Delete button to remove any schedules you no longer want to run in the background.
- Double-click any existing entry to modify it, as needed.
