To define a keystroke
assignment:
- From the iFIX Key Macro Editor main window, click the Key Combination cell in an active row. The Keyboard dialog box appears.
- Use the mouse to select keys on the Keyboard dialog box, or enter the key combination in the text box. You are not limited to the keys that appear just in the Keyboard dialog box.
For example, if the keyboard on your computer has an F18 key, when you hit this key the system recognizes and displays it in the text box, even though the key is not included in the Keypad in the Keyboard dialog box.
NOTE: A key combination can consist of most keyboard keys except: Backspace, Alt, Caps Lock, or the Spacebar. The Shift or Control keys cannot be used alone. Alphanumeric keys are only valid with Ctrl or Ctrl+Shift.
- Click OK.
