Associated with each alarm service is an alarm queue. Each alarm queue stores the alarms and messages received by the local computer. In general, the interaction between an alarm service and its alarm queue is as follows:
- The alarm service reads an alarm or message from its queue.
- The alarm service processes the data. For example, the Alarm File Service writes the data to a file.
- The alarm or message is deleted from the queue.
