Installing Excel Add-In for Operations Hub

Install the Operations Hub Certificate

The issuer certificate of Operations Hub Server should be installed on the machine where Excel Add-in for Operations Hub is installed.

Copy or Export the Issuer Certificate on Server

Procedure

Navigate to the machine where Operations Hub is installed.
Select Site Information (Not secure).
Select Certificate (invalid).
The Certificate window appears.
Select Certificate Path.
Select the Root CA certificate.
Select Details.
Select Copy to file.
The Certificate Export Wizard window appears.
Select DER encoded binary X.509(.CER) format and select Next.
Select Browse to save the certificate file at desired location.
Complete the Certificate Export.

Install or Import the Issuer Certificate on the Client Machine

About this task

Copy the issuer certificate to the client machine where Excel Add-in for Operations Hub is installed and install the certificate.

Procedure

Right-select on the certificate.
Select Install Certificate.
The Certificate Import Wizard page appears
Select the Local Machine button and then, select Next.
Select the Place all certificates in the following store button.
Select Trusted Root certification Authorities and then, select OK.
Select Next.
Select Finish.

Results

The certificate is imported.

Install Excel Add-In for Operations Hub

About this task

You can install Excel Add-in for Operations Hub using the Historian software ISO or DVD.

Procedure

Select Launch Installation from Historian ISO or insert the Historian DVD.
The Historian Installation Program page appears.
Select Install Excel Add-in for Operations Hub.
Welcome to Excel Add-in for Operations Hub page appears.
Select Next.
Read and accept the license agreement and then, select Next.
Select the available disk to install the Excel Add-in for Operations Hub. Select Next .

Note: It is recommended to select the drive where Microsoft Excel is installed.
Provide the details for Operations Hub, select Next.
You are ready to install page appears.
Select Install.

Results

Excel Add-In for Operations Hub is installed.
