Server-to-Server Distributor
Server-to-Server Distributor Overview
The Server-to-Server Distributor simplifies the process of configuring tags at the destination Historian and in comparison to the Serve-to-Server collector, provides more flexibility at the SCADA level for tag configuration.
It is useful to send data from a smaller Historian to a larger, centralized Historian for consolidated reporting and analytics. You can use either the Server-to-Server Collector or the Server-to-Server Distributor to send data to a central Historian.
The Server-to-Server Distributor is similar to the Server-to-Server Collector in most functionality. The key difference between the two is in the way the tags are managed. Server-to-Server Collector tags are exclusively managed from the destination Historian server. Server-to-Server Distributor tags can be managed both from the source and destination Historian servers.
