Change the SQL Server to Store Alarms and Events Data
Before you begin
If you have chosen to connect Proficy Historian to a remote SQL server:
The Historian Alarm Archiver service must be run on a user account that has
privileges to log into the SQL Server using Windows Authentication.
The Default Backup Path, found on the Archive page, must be a shared directory
that is accessible to both the Historian Data Archiver and the remote SQL Server. It is recommended that this shared directory be
placed on the same computer as the Historian Data Archiver service.
Procedure
Run the Proficy.Historian.AandE.Migration.exe file. By
default, it is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Proficy\Proficy
DataBase.
The Proficy Historian Alarm and Event Data
Migration window appears.
Select Specify SQL Server Instance.
In the Server Name, Database
Name, Admin User, and Admin User
Password fields, enter values.
Select Use default SQL path as data and log path if you
want to place the data and log files at the default location as the SQL
server.
If you want to install the data and log files in a different location, cancel
the selection and in the Alarms Data Path and
Alarms Log Path fields, and provide the path to place
the data and log files.
