Sample Deployment Architectures

The following examples show different types of deployment architectures you may choose to use with Configutation Hub. In each of the architectures Configuration Hub and Proficy Authentication are only installed ONE TIME.
Important: If Historian and iFIX are registered with the same Configuration Hub, the Historian Model editor will be disabled. In this case, use the iFIX model editor to create your model.

Example 1

The following example shows Configuration Hub and Proficy Authentication installed with iFIX (SCADA1) and other SCADAs (SCADA2 and SCADA3) on different computers connecting to that existing node.

Example 2

The following example shows Configuration Hub and Proficy Authentication installed along with a Historian Server and Web-based Clients (Historian1) and SCADAs (SCADA1 and SCADA2) on different computers connecting to that existing Historian node.

Example 3

The following example shows Configuration Hub and Proficy Authentication installed with iFIX (SCADA1) and other computers with iFIX (SCADA2 and SCADA3) or a Historian Server (Historian1) with Web-basec Clients connecting to that existing node.

Example 4

The following deployment architecture illustrates Configuration Hub, Proficy Authentication, the iFIX SCADA, and Proficy Historian all installed on separate computers.
