Software Support

  • GE Digital APM mobile application is now supported on the following operating system versions:

  • To align with the Microsoft Lifecycle policy for web browsers, GE Digital APM does not support Internet Explorer 11 and legacy Edge browser. The following web browsers are supported:
    • Google Chrome
    • Microsoft Edge
  • GE Digital APM now supports SQL Server Reporting Services 2017 and SQL Server Reporting Services 2019 for SQL Server Report Server.
  • GE Digital APM now supports Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition of Oracle Server 12.2.03 (19c).
  • GE Digital APM Report Designer now supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2019.
  • GE Digital APM now uses Elasticsearch v7.9.0.
  • GE Digital APM now uses ActiveMQ v5.16.0.

Performance Improvements

  • To improve the performance of GE Digital APM, the following functionalities have been converted to a background job:
    • Analysis deletion in the Asset Criticality Analysis module
    • Strategy and template deletion in the Asset Strategy Management module
    • Save as Template in the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis module
    • Save as Template in the Reliability Centered Maintenance module

Features and Enhancements

  • A new module, Rounds Pro, has been introduced in GE Digital APM. This module along with the Rounds Pro mobile application, provides enhanced features that enable rounds operators in industrial plants to monitor the health of the assets in a plant and detect technical problems and failures with ease.   • A new module, Workflow Solutions, has been introduced in GE Digital APM. This module enables GE Digital Services to deliver tailored configurations of GE Digital APM that are aligned to a customer’s work processes and accelerate adoption of GE Digital APM.   • To enhance usability while viewing images in the Inspection Management module, a new feature, Image Gallery has been introduced. The inspectors can now view all conditions of an asset along with the checklist findings at a single location. This enables the inspection team to quickly review the report and take appropriate actions. For more information, refer to the Inspection Management documentation.
  • To ensure extensibility, in the Thickness Monitoring module, you can now define pressure minimum thickness value for additional component types as per industry standards. For more information, refer to the Thickness Monitoring documentation.
  • The following updates have been added to the GE Digital help system:
    • The layout and structure of the GE Digital APM Installation document has been simplified to cater to different use cases, including architecture, installation steps, upgrade steps, and database comparison. For more information, refer to the APM Installation documentation.
    • To enhance usability and provide better navigation experience, the System Requirements document has been restructured. For more information, refer to the APM System Requirements documentation.
    • A new document, APM Module Deployment and Upgrade, has been published that provides you with consolidated deployment and upgrade information for all modules without having to search different areas of the documentation. For more information, refer to the APM Module Deployment and Upgrade documentation.
    • The Troubleshooting information and FAQs have been added for GE Digital SSO. For more information, refer to the Troubleshooting SSO documentation.

End of Life Features

  • APM Now feature has been deprecated.
  • Support for installing Redis on Windows-based GE Digital APM servers has been removed.
