GridOS® DERMS Gateway: Facilitating Dynamic Connections in QueenslandEnergy Queensland is one of the leaders in Australia’s energy transition. In their pursuit of a reliable, sustainable future, Energy Queensland partnered with GE Vernova Grid Software to deploy the GridOS DERMS Gateway to achieve DER connectivity with IEEE 2030.5 (aka SEP2). This innovative solution harnesses the capabilities of IEEE 2030.5 to establish secure communications with DERs. This platform facilitates streamlined DER registration, provisioning, and commissioning - all in compliance with Common Smart Inverter Profile (CSIP) and SA HB 218:2023 standards. The webinar will touch upon key aspects of the solution such as Flexible Connections - A new DER interconnection program that allows solar PV to connect with the network, even in constrained areas. Dynamic Operating Envelopes (DOEs) are used to communicate safe operating limits to DER installations to ensure maximum grid utilization and reliability.
