Unlink a Protective Instrument Loop Sensor

Note: Unlinking a Protective Instrument Loop Sensor alters the calculations of the loop. Hence, you must access the calculations again.

Steps

1. Access the Protective Instrument Loop Sensor that you want to unlink.

2. In the upper-right corner of the datasheet, select Unlink.

   Note: The Unlink button is enabled only if the Sensor that you have selected in a linked element.

3. If the Protective Instrument Loop Sensor that you want to replace is not linked to any other loop, a message appears, indicating that the Protective Instrument Loop Sensor will be deleted. Select OK.

   The Protective Instrument Loop Sensor is unlinked.

Results

• If the existing Protective Instrument Loop Sensor is the only one in the group, it is replaced by a default one.

  If the existing Sensor is not a part of another loop, then the record is deleted. Otherwise, the record is unlinked from the loop.

• Unlinking a record alters the calculations for the loop. The GE Digital APM system performs the calculations again.
