This topic describes how to link an Instrumented Function to a Common Cause Failure that is already linked to one or more Instrumented Functions.
Steps
In the workspace, select the SIL Assessment tab, and then select Common Cause Failures.
The Common Cause Failures section appears, displaying a list of Common Cause Failures for the Instrumented Function.
Select the row that corresponds to the Common Cause Failure that you want to link to another Instrumented Function.
The Instrumented Functions that are linked to the selected Common Cause Failure are listed in the section.
In the section, select
The Search window appears.
In the upper-right corner of the window, select
A list of Instrumented Functions appears.
Select the check box that corresponds to the Instrumented Function that you want to link to the Common Cause Failure, and then select OK.
The Common Cause Failure is linked to the Instrumented Function.
