Access an Element

You can access an element for a Subsystem to view the properties of that element.

Steps

Access the Diagram that contains the System Subsystem for which you want to view properties of an element.

The Diagram associated with the selected System Subsystem appears in the design canvas.
In the design canvas, select the element whose properties you want to view.

The properties of the selected element appear in the Properties pane.

Results

Depending on the element that is selected in the workspace, different fields are displayed in the Properties pane. When you select an element, the Properties pane will display the fields that belong to the record that is associated with the selected element.

You can select any of the following elements to view the fields in the associated record in the Properties pane:

Asset
Buffer
Link
Sensor
Subsystem
Switch
