Next to the Recommended Actions that will be involved in the Consolidate operation, select the check boxes.
In the Recommended Actions pane, select , and then select Consolidate.
Note: Depending on the state configuration used for the Consolidate operation, a State Assignment window may appear. Select the appropriate Assignees from the State drop down menus listed, and then select Done. Recommendations that belong to the same asset can be consolidated.
The Consolidate Recommendations section appears.
The list on the left side of the section lists each field for which the selected Recommended Actions had different values.
Selecting a field name in the list will expand the list to reveal the different values entered for each Recommended Action.
Optionally, if you would like to merge the remaining field values into your consolidated recommendations, in the Recommended Action Properties section, select Merge Remaining Unselected.
In the upper-right corner or the Consolidate Properties section, select Consolidate.
The Actions Consolidated window appears, confirming that the Recommended Actions are consolidated.
Select OK to close the window.
Note: If you want to view the consolidate Recommended Actions, select on the Recommended Actions pane, and then select Consolidated.
Results
When you first perform the Consolidate operation, a new master Recommendation record will be created to store the consolidated information.
The source Recommendation records will be transitioned to the Consolidated state and linked to the new master Recommended Action.
After the master Recommended Action exists, additional Recommended Actions can be consolidated into it and any new source Recommended Actions will be transitioned into the Consolidated state.
