Troubleshooting the Publishing Process

Use the following sources to assist you in troubleshooting the publishing of GE Web HMI pictures:

  • Log files - to investigate the warning or error messages that occurred. The log file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\GE\iFIX\PIC\WebExport. Two log files are created:
    • Json export log – only contains export information including errors and warnings.

    • Publish log – contains the complete publishing information, which includes the Web HMI connection status, publish progress, and details on any errors or warnings during the publish.

  • Messages - to provide more information about warnings or errors in the log file.
