When you click the Test Connection button on the Database tab of the VisiconX Data Control OLE Properties dialog box, you get a message indicating that the connection failed.
- Try to determine the reason for the failure from the description that appears in the Failed Connection dialog box.
- If the database is secured, make sure that you have authority to access the database and the tables selected in the query.
- Make sure that the User ID and password for the database is correct.
- Make sure that the server on which the database resides is accessible and operating.
For continued problems, contact your System Administrator to determine if your settings are correct.
