Adding Text to Pictures

To add text to your picture:

  1. In Classic view, in the iFIX WorkSpace, on the Shapes toolbar, click the Text button.

In Ribbon view, on the Insert tab, in the Object/Links group, click Object/Links, and then click Text.

-Or-

If the Toolbox is enabled, click the Text button on the Toolbox.

The cursor changes to an I-beam.

  1. Position the cursor where you want the text to appear.
  2. Enter the text you want. Use <Backspace> to delete the text and <Enter> to start a new line.

TIPS:

  • To add multiple text objects, double-click the Text button on the Toolbox. Place the cursor where you want to add the first text object and enter your text. Click outside the text object or press ESC, and then place the cursor where you want to add the second object. Repeat these steps for each text object you want to add.

When you are done adding text objects click the Text button again, the pointer selection tool, or another button in the Toolbox.

  • To edit the text within a text object, you can double-click the text object, or right-click the text object and select Edit Text from the pop-up menu that appears.
