Defining Partial Substitution for a Dynamo's Property Values
To define partial
substitution for a Dynamo's property values:
- In the iFIX WorkSpace, select the custom object or group that you want to convert to a Dynamo.
- In Classic view,
on the Dynamo toolbar, click the Build Dynamo
button.
-Or-
In Ribbon view, on the Tools tab, in the Dynamos group, click Dynamos, and then click Build Dynamo.
NOTE: You must have an object that supports animations for the Build Dynamo with User Prompts dialog box to appear. Otherwise, the generic Build Dynamo Wizard dialog box appears, requesting only a name.
- Optionally, in the Dynamo Description field, enter a description for this Dynamo.
- Optionally, in the Object Description field, enter a description for this object.
- In the User Prompt field(s), enter the User Prompt surrounded by brackets {} and use asterisks (*) for static values.
- Click OK.
