GE Vernova's RDS team was able to solve a difficult-to-diagnose legacy Load Commutated Inverter (LCI) startup issue for a 7FA gas turbine within 4 hours—saving this customer potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential downtime and repair costs.

GE Vernova's RDS team was able to diagnose a gas fuel startup issue for a 7FA heavy duty gas turbine in time to recommend a proactive, cost-effective solution—saving this customer an estimated $50,000 to $1,000,000 in potential unit trips, equipment repairs, and extended outage costs.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requires nuclear power plants to implement a cybersecurity program that provides “high assurance” that Critical Digital Assets (CDAs) are protected.

GE Vernova built a test system and created a procedure to wipe, reapply, and test the firmware of each card. This new offering will allow our North American nuclear power customers to meet the NRC-mandated cybersecurity requirements, potentially saving thousands in fines or loss of production.
